Professor Andy Kaufman has been teaching Russian language, literature, and culture
to American college students for over a decade. He is the recipient of the prestigious
Stanford Centennial Teaching Award, awarded each year to the most outstanding graduate
student teachers on the basis of student feedback and evaluations. In addition to his
love of teaching Russian-related subjects, Andy enjoys the creative process of teaching
in general. Andy has a well thought-out teaching philosophy,
he frequently develops creative new courses, and he constantly seeks out the most
effective teaching methods, including the use of multi-media technology in and
out of the classroom. Teaching is one of Andy’s greatest professional and personal joys.
